HELP US SAVE OUR VILLAGE PUB - OUR VISION

As a community owned asset we intend to make the Rose & Crown Inn a hub of village activity. By maintaining local services we can protect Slaley’s status as a sustainable community.

In addition to being a traditional family-friendly pub, restaurant and B&B, we intend to develop a range of other community services. These could include internet access, coffee shop, entertainment, parcel drop off/collection facilities etc.

For villagers and visitors; the Rose and Crown will:

Provide a wide selection of local beers and good wine from Day 1.
Provide good food for visitors. (For those who are unable to cook for themselves it can include a local delivery or collection service).
Provide accommodation for visitors to this scenic area.
Promote social inclusion by providing a venue and services suitable for all ages, including a café, internet access & training, events and meeting rooms.
Host many local clubs and organisations such as the Leek Club and the Darts Teams
Reduce isolation by encouraging participation in social and other events.
Provide an informal meeting venue for local clubs and societies.
Safeguard a historical building.
Provide local employment.
Support local businesses by providing a retail outlet for their produce and by buying goods for use in the business.
